Default thread subscribing

Looks like something has changed? Whenever I post I'm ending up being subscribed to the thread. The property must be on by default now?

this has been happening to me for a long time now...very annoying...I started a post about this about a year ago as well...

http://www.abxzone.com/forums/abxzon...cribed+threads

I tried manually un-subscribing to all threads, clearing cache etc and nothing seemed to fix it...over the last few months though it seems to have gotten a bit better as I don't get automatically subscribed to all threads I post in but it still subscribes me to a lot of threads...I gave up trying to fix it and just ignore it now

Yeah I like it like that too. I don't remember ever getting a notification before I set it as default in the cp. You never know with this fly by night adminstrator they got here though

Try the usual stuff. Log out. Clear the ABX cookies. Log back in. Set the setting to what you want it to be. If that doesn't take. Do the same thing again, just log out after changing it and clear cookies again.

It can be a bit stubborn.

If what you want is to have the default thread subscription thingie to say "do not subscribe" I could try to fiddle with it in the user settings I can see as a mod. Holler in this thread in that case. I haven't seen a change in how my setting works since I originally set it back in 2001. It survived the upgrade to vB3.x and everything. Heh.
