| Wow you miss a lot when you sleep in it seems! I was wondering what was going on with the forum down for those periods. I guess we will be seeing some new faces around here. Where I share the concern about "cross pollination" I am not terribly worried about it. I think the reason this site is so well mannered is the ability of its members to "self police" and not get caught up in flame debates etc. Welcome sanjay/Matty I think you made a good investment ![]()

| Thanks to those who have wished us well on the purchase. Those of you who seem stuck on judging other communities and seeing yourself as better...LOL You will learn in life that things are not better or worse, they are just different and difference should be respected, if not celebrated. |

| Yeah, I miss using that name, too! Sadly, after I requested a name change from "Brain" to "Brian", a new member joined up and took the "Brain" moniker. ![]() So I guess I am stuck being me! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hey, I wonder if I can get away with bikini babe pics now...

| Though I am a relative newcomer I think some members may fear that it will be reduced to the level of many other boards (I wont name any examples) where the level of maturity is low and flame sessions are common. Also I think this board is a little friendlier to new comers then some of the more cliquey groups which is probably why I remained here after trying several others. So, I guess some of us are just a little concerned that we will lose what we have here. That being said, I personally have no evidence to think that will be the case and certainly am optimistic that it will even benefit from the new management.

| sorry to post this board to death but I don't see the million dollar question anywhere (excuse me if I just missed it) Where are our mods? I don't see any comments by any of them. Will Ozzie still serve in some capacity? What about Kongo, Gorganzola, Pointreyes and the others? All new moderators would definitely make me unhappy as I am sure it would others as well.

| Hey SpeedDMN- thanks for your willingness to wait and see. As I mentioned before, most of the members of my other community came from Hardforums.com and we miss the tech association. As for the mods- I have not made a single change to any of their permissions, nor do I intend to. I have had interaction with some of them in other threads (some in the mod forum). I also have no new mods I have in mind. I like this place- I would not have spend the rich sum I did if I did not like it since there are no revenues I could use to calculate value. Here are my BIG agenda items: new default skin (this one will remain as an option, but it is a bit too sleepy IMO) reordering of the subforums to stimulate posting maybe consolidating some really dead, unsupported forums |
