Edit - No longer works at all!!!

I just made a post and after submiting the post I wanted to make a small change. I clicked 'Edit' made the change, but clicking on 'Save' did nothing. Clicking on 'Go advanced' also did nothing.

Is there now absolutely no editing allowed at all now?

Also, clicking on 'More' in the smilies used to bring up additional smilies in a window. That button also does nothing now.

I haven't seen edit for a while on any of my post recently. I just did a post a couple of days back and wanted to add some more info. I couldn't.

I wish whoever is t/o and t/off the edit capability. Would jjust stop.

Edit to post:Well the edit just worked on this post. edit:Save also worked. edit: I hope it stays this way and or what time limits are in effect to make edits.

Sounds like the activeX control isnt working, have you disabled them in your browser?

I have made no changes to FireFox in months. I don't use IE. Maybe something changed via something though.

I can click on the 'Edit' button and the edit window appears, but after that nothing works.

This happened once before to me. It was a Forum setting change that ABX did at that time that effected me. Maybe the 'hot link'? Did ABX change the 'hot link' back to a different color the way it used to be yet? That's about the time I started having problems.

If there's any settings I should check anywhere, please suggest them.

I just went to another forum that uses vBulletin and made a post. The 'edit' button worked fine as it does here. However, the 'advanced edit' button worked there, and the 'cancel' button worked there which do not work for me here.

There's something wrong with the ABX settings somehow. The problem is unique to ABX.

What was changed here in the last few weeks?

I know the font appearance for the hot links was changed. Anything else?

I just did an edit to my post above. Seems to work ok for me

This narrows it down to either a problem at your end, or a problem with abXzone.

I will try and see if it works for me. It just worked for me. I think there is a time span in which you can edit your post.

It's not a time thing. It's a "nothing-at-all-happens-when-I-click-the-buttons-immediately-after-posting" thing. In other words ---> I make a new post. I immediately click 'edit'. The edit window appears. I make my changes to the post. I click 'save'. Nothing happens. I click 'go advanced'. Again nothing happens. I click 'cancel'. Nothing again happens.

Okay. Some progress.

I tried another computer running FireFox v.1.5. Everything at ABX worked properly.

So, .... Back on this computer, this FireFox v.1.5 will not let me edit.

What settings should I look into?

Try flushing cookies? If you're using an adblocker extension, the filters may need to be cleared and reset.

Wouldn't hurt to migrate to FF 2.0.
