Anyone who does not prefer all natural, crunchy peanut butter is brain damaged. (I am glad that Brian is no longer "Brain," so I can say that. ) Seriously, you should stay away from regular peanut butter, which contains trans fats and a host of other things that are bad for your health.

Oh yeah, regarding the topic of this thread, I think a congrats thread for every 5,000 posts is still too much. We would still have to post a new thread for KT each week.

To me, a birthday thread is more important than a congratz thread every x amonunt of posts.

I also agree to take away OT from posts counts.

Either none, or none after 10,000 either way would work just fine for me.

And when you reach 100,000 posts you get to have your post count show up again under your avatar.

Actually, I think one for the first 1,000 5,000 and every 10,000 landmark (10K, 20K, etc.) afterward would be fine. Those are nice, round numbers.

Just a quick point before I withdraw again: Should we only count tech posts that actually help people, if we are to factor in the 'use' of a post. That is, if someone has asked a lot of questions, and suggested help that didn't work, should that be considered to be 'worth' less than tech posts that solve problems.

My point is, it doesn't really matter what type of posts we count. It's still just a number. If we are to try to find out the 'net use' for each member, then I think I'll just demote myself and leave. I don't want a system like that at all.

As for congratulatory threads, it doesn't really matter to me. It's always nice to see one with my name on it, but that's not the reason I'm here. Frankly, posting a "congratulations on your 13,452nd post" just because a person did something nice to you or helped you out, would be even nicer. That is, showing that you appreciate someone for what they did, rather than the number of posts they made. But that's just me.

Actually, over 100,000 it should reset itself like a car odometer and go back to 1.
