Re: Please Keep Us Better Informed About Site Status

This last downtime had a message. Thanks!
Great that the site is back up, but now it is unbearably slow...

Re: Please Keep Us Better Informed About Site Status

It's been working beautifully here, since it came back up around 1:30 p.m. EDT.

However, for the last couple of days I have not been receiving automated e-mail notifications of responses to my subscribed threads. Is it just me and/or my isp, or have any of the rest of you noticed the same thing?

Re: Please Keep Us Better Informed About Site Status

I very much appreciated the downtime message...at least I wasn't worried about the site coming back. I helps more than you may think.
Posting does seem to be a bit slow though - I've had a couple double posts because they didn't go through.

Same here, changing pages is fast but posting takes forever, I thought it was my service!

Re: Please Keep Us Better Informed About Site Status

Yes, I've just seen the same kind of delay while posting. But while the window in which I created the post was sitting in wait forever mode, I opened another window, went to the site, and saw that the post was up. I then x'd out the original window and everything was cool.

Re: Please Keep Us Better Informed About Site Status

I just tried that Al and it worked just fine.
I suppose we need to let things settle in a bit for it to return to normal.

The move is to a clustered environment designed to provide high availability and fault tolerance. We were hoping to do the move quietly, but a week or so ago we had a hardware crash that left us with no choice, but to start moving as fast as we could.

My email is sanjay at crowdgather dotcom and I am glad to let you vent directly to me if you chose.

My team has committed to me that we will be done by tomorrow evening and that all of the forums will fly after that.

Hi Sanjay, glad you are taking care of ABXZone. We appreciate it.
