Re: Please Keep Us Better Informed About Site Status

Well, it is a little silly to have to open a new window (or perform some other workaround), just because the forum gets stuck adding a reply. What other forum has this problem? Incidentally, one symptom of the "hang" always seems to be the same: at the bottom you end up waiting for a response from engine16.woopra.com.

that post hang thing is really annoying...I guess thats what happens when you try and connect 70 forums into 1 central hub...what happens if/when the number of forums grows even larger?...managing 1 forum can be difficult enough...is this slowdown going to be an ongoing thing?

Re: Please Keep Us Better Informed About Site Status

ABXzone has been moved to a temp server along with a few other forums. It will be a little sluggish until the temp server is replicated and imaged onto our permanent installation. The good news is the final hop is all being done at our datacenter so it will be a quick move. I estimate a week before we are running at our optimal levels and right configuration.

Hey SANJAY, Any chance a couple of those other forums include Automotive Forums and Dodge Forums.com ?

Re: Please Keep Us Better Informed About Site Status

Just so everyone knows we now live at our new, much more stable datacenter in downtown LA. We are on a temporary environment they have provided us while we move our boxes in, get sites on them and get them configured. We hope to move from the temporary environment to our own servers later this week and the beginning of next. We don't anticipate any downtime since DNS doesn't need to change, and we'll be here trying to keep it running, but if there are any issues it's likely related to that.

Once we are on our new environment - - with four web servers behind redundent load balancers - - I hope you see some ridiculous speed and stability

Is it just me? Where is the "Home" page with all the latest posts on the right side of the page?

Sorry to burst your revelry but the url www.abxzone.com

Brings up almost a blank page it's abxzone but the front page is gone. No data. Also this wooper thing is got to go.
I googled it and it may be nice for you guys running but not for us users.

Logging out and backin again doesn't fix it. But it did fix a problem with keying in data when posting. I had a delay that was like someone or something was capturing my keystrokes. I was very paranoid and kept running all kinds of malware software but never found anything ever. It was only on one of my networked systems the one I use most often. Now it's gone.

The outage on this weekend was only a short period otherwise good work. Thank you.
