I did availability management for a fortune 500 company for some 30 yrs..

when CJ owned the forum the Mods would be kept in the loop regarding all site changes...and as traveler stated the members would usually get a say in any upcoming propsed changes...seems like the Mods are now just figureheads who only serve as crowd control moderators and are no longer involved in shaping the site itself (I believe that is one of the reasons Ozzie stepped down as Admin awhile ago)

plus that was before this new crowdgatherer.com business etc where the forums are now a money making venture...to be honest CJ always wanted the site to become profitable as well it's just that he never got to fullfill that goal (until he sold the site to Sanjay)

as for comparing ABX to a business...doesn't really apply because we as members are not shareholders or on payroll...Sanjay only owes its to his investors to explain his actions
