Well I can get around this issue by enabling cookies just for ABXZone. This means a little handshaking between IE6 and ZA is required; as I prefer to block cookies in both places. Basically I had to go into IE6 tools/internet options/privacy and "advanced", then choose to "overide automatic settings". Then I block both 3rd party and 1st party cookies. The reason for doing this is is so to enable the "edit" button on the properties page, which is disabled if you only use the slider to "block all cookies". I can then click on the edit button and add ABXZone and choose to allow all cookies for it. Next I go into ZA's privacy area (ver 4.5.594) and choose the site list tab and then add ABXZone in there. Finally I allow session cookies but block all else for ABXZone. So this setup should end up blocking all cookies except from ABXZone where I'm allowing session cookies (only). I would prefer not to have to allow any cookies, of course, but I really dont want that sidebar taking up so much space. I will just have to monitor the cookies and make sure I dont get any sponsor cookies in there or any other odd ones. Quote:
With the above this issue is fixed, but with the caveat that I hate having cookies enabled, even for 1 site. ![]() | ||
