Constant "... not valid win32 app." errors after turning on Account Security I recently enabled the User Account Control feature for all accounts on my personal computer, and ever since, I've been plagued with "yaddayadda is not a valid Win32 application." errors for various games and other programs. I tried disabling it through User Account options again but when I click "Turn User Account control on or off", nothing happens. How can I fix this nonsense? My computer is completely up to date, so yeah, any input would be greatly appreciated. Edit; I'm using Home Premium.

Have you tried running in compatability mode? Or tried reinstalling the software? This problem is usually because the file is corrupt or incompatible with windows... Seems odd that UAC would have done this. No viruses? crabby

The thing is that I've never had any problems with running these programs before until turning UAC on, but I have tried running in compatibility and such and I still get the same error. I tried uninstalling the programs giving me errors but then I get a "An error has occurred uninstalling yaddayadda". This is really driving me up the wall! :scared:

It could be that as you installed the programs without UAC, the programs may require 'Admin' privledges. Have you tried 'owning' the entire hard drive? Right click it, go to properties, security, advanced, owner and amend it and see if that helps? crabby
