Files being sent to recycle bin

Hi all
I'm using Vista Home Premium and I recently found that 'something' is automatically sending files to the recycle bin. The files are of different types eg. word, gifs, jpegs and up to 200 at any one time. I have scanned the computer for anything malicious and came up clean. Any ideas?

Cheers Daisy

Do you use any sort of antivirus? Are there multiple users on the system? Um... I really can't think what it can be :scared:

Please don't take this thought as gospel as I'm truly challenged about these things. I do remember fearing the same thing happening when burning some pictures to CD early on though. They weren't the originals but the temporary copied ones dumped when the process was completed. Could this be what you're seeing in your Recycle Bin? I went back to my original folders, double checking all the names of those dumped and they were still where they were supposed to be...before I emptied the Recycle Bin.

Make sure you are not running one of them applications that send temporary files and other stuff automatically to the recycle bin, for example System Energizer.
