| Frequent BSODs on new desktop Hi everyone I've recently set up a desktop with the following configuration: Intel Core i7 920 CPU Gigabyte EX58 Extreme M/B Corsair 1333 MHz DDR 3 Memory (3 GB, triple channel) 2 x 250 GB Seagate SATA HDD Palit GTX 295 video card I am running Vista Ultimate 32 bit on this machine, and my problem is that I encounter at least one BSOD a day. It just pops up randomly. I have the latest drivers for the graphics card. No external drives or USB peripherals (other than a mouse) are connected when this error is encountered. I sometimes get a BSOD with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NOPAGED_AREA and at other times its just a nondescript BSOD. I'd be grateful if someone could help me fix this. Thanks and cheers vivek |

| No, no fresh installs. The CPU core temperatures are 47,50,49,48 degrees C, the GPU temperature is about 70 degrees C. Everything works normally, just every so often I get a BSOD and I don't know what do with it. Here is some more information from the most recent BSOD, if it helps: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 50 BCP1: B5FD5000 BCP2: 00000001 BCP3: 820FD693 BCP4: 00000000 OS Version: 6_0_6001 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini042809-01.dmp C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-73866-0.sysdata.xml C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Temp\WER9C.tmp.version.txt Read our privacy statement: Microsoft Online Crash Analysis |

| It could be a hardware issue, especially the RAM...as Crabby described. It could also be a bad installation. Sometimes the installation does not go as expected. Everything seems to work until a specific program or driver needs a specific file from the OS, if that file is not installed correctly an error can occur. This normally happens when the DVD is dirty, has print marks or was recorded from an ISO at a too high speed (it may have skipped).

| I agree Buster. Must BSOD issues are driver related. One thing Maverick can do is to go to Device Manger and unistall all drivers and let windows install the default Microsoft drivers.
