| HP Compac Labtop system is slow I have a HP Compac labtop with Vista that is 2 years old, it seems to take along time to boot up, I have AVG anti virus on it and I've run defrag on it. The Hardrive has plenty of space and I can't figure out why it takes so long to boot up. Is there any programs (free or otherwise) that would help this system work faster? Thanks |

| Did it always boot up slowly? The issue might be hardware related rather than software. Drivers tend to cause such issues. You can check for the latest drivers and see if that helps. If you think it's software related, run the msconfig command and disable anystartup programs.
