| No Audio Device is Installed Hey, I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, and it's just a year old. I just turned my computer on last night and i noticed near the sound icon there is an "x", which I've never seen before. When I opened the volume mixer, the message "No Audio Device is Installed" came up. I've checked many forums, and many people like me seem to be having the same problem. I checked many Microsoft sites, and I followed all of the steps, but still no solution. I went into control panel and then device manager, but it says my Intel® High Definition Audio HDMI and my SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC are working properly. Someone please help me; this computer has given me so many problems since I got it (ex. wireless card not working; I had to do a system restore three times!). It's problems like these that make me want to switch to Mac. Oh, by the way, this might not be of relevence (but it might), but at the time I started my computer and sound wasn't working, an error message involving "0x800106ba" came up. Not sure if that helps at all. Help is appreciated! Thanks! |
