| It's fine to install SP1, and you should. You can download it or install it through Windows Update. I recommend using Windows Update.

| Yeah - Windows update indicated that SP1 is available - and the update is going on now. I had BSOD 3 times before for reasons which im not aware of! (after reinstalling vista HP). Once the solution said it is because of my antivirus software (KIS2009). I hope it never happens after SP1. Thanks anyways. |

| My experience with BSOD, which in my case has always been drivers related and not the software, is to let Vista recover itself. Sometimes, during installation, Vista encounters a bad or incompatible driver or software and makes it hang. Sometimes we become impatient and turn the PC off too soon, just to run into the same issue after trying to reinstall. Drivers, especially graphics, can cause a blank screen for quite sometime. When I install Vista, I setup the the installation and then walk away; almost always the installation is completed. Of course, don't try this with XP, otherwise you'll come back to a message awaiting for your action.

| Yeah i think its driver related, because i remember it saying DRIVER_EQUAL_OR_LESS or something like that. After recovery i got this message. And there's no BSOD yet. |
