users / app data - hard drive filling up

I just got a new laptop - Toshiba - with Vista last week. I have successfully migrated across all of my data from my old XP laptop.

And already I am running out of space on my Vista (c drive. Data is on a separate e: drive.

I have 26.7Gb remaining free on a 74.5Gb drive.

on this drive, the folder users/myusername/appdata has 21.9Gb in 6006 files.

What is all of this stuff! Do I need it all? Can I slim it down?
