| Virtual Device Driver I use surveillance camera's on my computer. When I attempted to update the software, I got the following error: SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDriver. Virtual Device Driver in the registry is invalid. I have found fixes for this for WinXP, but cannot find a fix for Vista. I found someone that had a fix for WinXP and they said: If you can not find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDrivers in your registry, open notepad and type the following: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDrivers] "VDD"=hex(7):00,00 Once you have this typed in, save it as VDD.Reg, then run it. My question is, will this work for Vista? |

| Hi there... the guy basically made a script to add it to the registry, but you can do it an easier way. In the start menu search for 'REGEDIT' then go down the registry tree as it says. Once you get to the bottom just add the missing DWORD. crabby |
