Unhappy Vista 64bit+ATI X1950.

Hello, ive been looking around for a solution for a while now, though i havent had too much luck.. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I

went and bought Windows Vista home premium 64 bit a month ago, along with some other bits and pieces, I have an ATI X1950 Pro and it seems to

give me problems with almost every game i play (freezing/tearing/fps lag). It hardly did this before when i had an even worse setup (single core

CPU/crappy motherboard/ram/HD). But now i have gone and bought this:

intel core i& 2.66ghz 8mb, CPU

gigabyte ga-ex58-ds4 motherboard,

corsair 6GB kit, RAM

1.0TB caviar green HD.

Now. ive just noticed that when i click on system properties, i see it says this; Memory (RAM): 4.00GB. Though i obviously have 6.00GB. could

this be the problem? Or is it something else like my graphics card, ive learnt the x1950 series doesnt go down well with vista 64bit, ive had to

install an earlier driver so it doesnt crash whenever i play chess.. I might go and buy an ASUS HD4870 750m/1gig graphics card maybe that will do

the trick (though i might need to buy a new power supply and case lol). I really only wanted buying a new gfx card as a last resort, maybe

hopefully theres a way to fix this problem of mine, and potentially save me some money.

Thankyou in advance.
