| The best advice I can give you is to try System Restore, but since you can’t boot you’ll need to boot from a Vista DVD; choose “Repair your computer” option, click next on the next screen, and then choose System Restore from the System Recovery dialog. If you don’t have a Vista DVD, you can make your own repair DVD by following these instructions from: How to Make a Windows Vista Repair Disk If You Don't Have One :: the How-To Geek.

| When I go to system restore, it tells me that it's doing it but then it says error and that nothing has been restored. |

| If you have a Vista DVD, insert it and try the Repair Option. It may not fix the issue though, but it’s worth a try. Can you start Vista at all? If so, you can do a repair install. Basically, you install Vista within windows, selecting the upgrade option. This will replace any missing or corrupted file. You’ll need the product key. If your DVD doesn’t have one, you can download a program to find the product key on your pc.

| Sounds like a driver issue. I agree with felix that you should use the repair option from the disk. You wont lose your documents and it will work. crabby |
