I posted this problem in "Windows Features-sub-forum Windows Mail" but theres too many cobwebs there so am re posting as I need help. I have Vista Premium and up to now its been sorta ok. Is current on all Updates. McAfee is my Security. Comcast is my ISP. Heres the prob....started today. When I open window for email another window opens stating "Windows-No Disk" It only occurs if there is either an old email or new email in "in box". I can still receive and send emails. It only happens in the "in box"...I can hit the "X" about 5 or 6 times and the window goes away and I can read the email. If I go to next email, it starts over again. all other functions and folders appear to be working like they should. Have ran several virus checks, etc. and nothing. Rest of the pc works fine. Is this some sort of virus? Software glich? Hardware issue? Any ideas? Thnx, JIM ![]()

Hi Jim... I'm a bit confused as to what email service you are using. Is it an internet based account? And if so, what browser are you using? And if it isn't what software are you using? crabby

Crabby I have Vista Premium and am using their replacement for Outlook. My Internet provider is Comcast so I guess the mail is an internet based account. Like I said earlier...never ever had any probs with email til yesterday. Its sorta got me puzzled but I am suspecting it is a certain email I received yesterday that is the culprit. I can remove it to a folder and then everything including in box works like it should. But when I go back to that specific email regardless of what folder its in the problem comes back. I was gonna delete the email to see what happens but it has some pix on it that I need but am having trouble downloading them. Hope this helps. JIM

By 'replacement for outlook' do you mean windows mail? I still haven't a clue why the problem is happening, but if it is email related I am guessing the email is trying to run a script which goes to somewhere which doesn't exist. Could you try and download the imags on an XP based machine (as the script might work in XP) and then transfer the the pics you want. I've never used windows mail, so I don't know if you can... but if you right click the email can you extract attachements without opening the body of the email? crabby
