| problem downloading adobe flash player :newbie: Hello, I have Windows Vista, have administrative privileges, and have tried numerous times to install Adobe flash player without luck. I have followed all suggestions including dowloading recommended zip file (is apparently not the latest version and system does not allow me to install); disabling firewall, allowing popups, enabling all active x controls, and then trying to install. Does anyone know how I might be able to install this. Thanks. Susan |

| If your using Vista, the Flash player for Vista is different than for XP... ask for the Vista Flashplayer. Adobe - Adobe Flash PlayerMicrosoft Vista is incompatible with the currently released Flash Player. Vista-compatible prerelease versions of Flash Player 9 are available for download ... http://www.adobe.com/products/flashp...special/vista/ - 21k - Cached - Similar pages

| problem downloading Adobe flash Thanks for the information. I tried downloading the prerelease version of Adobe flash, and got a message box that said "To finalize installation, Flash Player must restart all instances of Internet Explorer before clicking Yes. Restart now?" I had no other windows open, clicked "yes", and nothing happened. It still won't download. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? |

| You could try lowering IE7 security level. If you do, make sure to bring it back to the same setting after finishing.
