| USB External Drive Format Hello again, all. I have a USB external hard drive that I want to format. It is formatted in linux now. You cannot see the drive when you go into Start>Computer; however, if you go Start>(right-click)Computer>Manage>Disk Management, its there. 1. How do I format this external drive in Vista? 2. If that doesn't make it show up in explorer, I'll be back to ask you how to do that so that I can store files in it. Thanks Gary |

| hey gary... you should just be able to right click the drive in disk manage:ment where you found it and format it there... Otherwise, you'll have to use linux to convert it to FAT32 before you then convert it to NTFS in windows. LInux is really bad at dormatting to NTFS directly. crabby |
