| WinXP 32 to 64 Vista If I have a program that works on Win XP 32, will it run on Vista 64? If I get a program for Vista 64, will it run on WinXP 32?

| 32bit programs will run on a 64bit machine (they install to Program Files (x86) rather than Program Files). 64bit programs won't run on a 32bit system (the architecture is incompatible) BUT almost all software is either 32bit or has a 32bit version, so you will most likely NEVER see this problem. crabby |

| Tanks Tanks - that helps a lot. Looks like the best bet is to get a 64 machine and run Vista64 - which will take care of 32 or 64.
