Same to you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I was also wondering if any body has build a new Intel i7 CPU based system yet or are the price's to steep.

To all here at VBabble, I wish everyone of you a good 2009 fill with your best wishes. I already got a copy of Windows 7, so I know what I'll be doing during my off time. I will start posting a few of my experiences with it by the end of this month...if I'm not too busy.

Felix what build did you get the latest 7000 beta that was being released to certain few or the leaked on of the torrents. I was a tester for the Vista version and have gotten an e-mail about the Windows 7 version, but I am not going to mess with it for right now. I might run in virtual if I do decide to check it out ,people are saying its so much faster than Vista .

The disk is at home and don't know which build it has...been away from home for 42 days today. I do believe that Vista 7 will be here much faster than we are anticipating though. Hopefully it can run on a low-end PC. One of the biggest issues with Vista is the requirements as far as CPU, Graphics Cards and Memory. That turned away many users, especially business users who didn't want to spend the money upgrading their system. One thing I'd like to see in Windows 7 is the ability of the user to do more online, e.g. accessing the OS and ones PC. There are a few third party software that allows one to work on his/her PC over the internet, but I prefer it be done through the OS; Vista's capabilities are limited and not so user friendly.

It's nice and stable already, and it's quite quick. I'd suggest giving Windows 7 a go. My main issue is that they seem to be making more and more features that a normal PC can't use, like the touch screen stuff.

Here are some of the requirements: 1 Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16 GB of disk space, 128MB of video memory and support for DX9 graphics or about the same as Vista's.

I just got back home so maybe next week I'll be installing it and taking it for a run.

Windows Vortex changes the appearance of XP to look more like Vista.
