| How do you make a Vista laptop work with an existing network? I have 1 XP desktop, 1 Vista desktop, 2 Vista laptops & 1 network external hard drive. The 2 laptops are on the network, but they don't see the external hard drive. The vista desktop gave no problems.

| The short answer is - check your drives. Are they all formatted NTFS or FAT32 or FAT16? I don't want to spoil the fun for you, so I won't get into the details. The only hint I would give you would be to make them all NTFS. Then check again, especially that external drive.
