Mobile Broadband

Anyone had dealings with mobile broadband yet? Thinking of getting it for myself, just wanted to know how it preforms compared to regular broadband.

Any help would be a bonus, thanks!!

Connections in th eUK are usually about 2MB and that's exactly what you get... when you have a decent signal! If your signal is poor the speed drops dramatically. But to be honest, it's only good if you think you will use enough of it. Most deals can be changed on a monthly basis so give it a go for a month and see what you think

Hi Crabby!

I have been looking in the almighty Argos and it seems 3mobile do a pay as you go version for £50. I may try that and see how it performs up here in the north-west. Did a coverage test on 3mobiles website and it turns out that we are fully covered thanks to Manchester and Liverpool.

So fingers crossed, I cant really remember the days of 2meg broadband so it might seem a little slow at first.

UK is much farther ahead when it comes to mobile broadband than in the USA. Let us know how it goes.
