| ntoskrnl.exe - AVG Dell pre-installed Vista Home Premium. No anti-virus came with this E521 Dell. About a year ago, I installed AVG 7.5 (free). AVG has worked flawlessly since. Just recently, AVG slowed way down and I read on AVG screen: ntoskrnl.exe. The scan then became real slow. The only software I have installed recently was Mozilla Firefox. I don't think this has anything to do with anything. Anyway, I uninstalled AVG and installed AVG (7.5 free) and all seems to work OK now. I have no idea what: ntoskrnl.exe is. Or how it relates to anything AVG. |
