burning audio cd

need help burning audio cd using vista burning program
can burn the cd but will not play in my cd player in car need help thanks

more info does your car player read Mp3 or WMP format or what did you burn it as if MP3 your player may not read this format.

Your issue could well be the type of media you are using. Make sure you are using CD-R media.

In Windows Media Player do the following: Open Wimdows Media Player > Click the Burn Tab > Click the Down Arrow and select More Options > For Burn Speed select Medium > Select Automatically eject the disc after burning (optional) > Select Apply volume leveling across tracks on the CD (Recommended) > Make sure Do not convert (recommended) is selected > Clcik OK.

Now select the songs you want to burn and click Start Burn

An audio CD essentially is just a copy of a CD. Is that the type of file you are trying to burn? WMP will burn MP3's and audio CDs, but will not, as I recall (check this), rip an audio CD in the first place. Car players play audio CDs and may, or may not, play MP3s. I use iTunes for ripping and burning purposes.

Clone CD is very good for this it creates a pure copy I do this so my original is safe at home I find the in car cds get marked easily so I can just burn a new one when there to damaged

Excellent plan. I change them so infrequently in the car that they almost never get scratched.
