For those of you with Windows Vista Ultimate and DreamScene, today we have released DeskScapes 1.01. DeskScapes is an enhancement to DreamScene which now allows triggers and dynamic content to be used.

i first Discovered DreamScene the other day and i think its out of this world. ive never seen such a nice desktop like this in my life. I downloaded Dskscape and thats really a cool application. i am going to make this desktop so awsome in the next few days

Please correct me if I am mistaken. It appears to me that you are advertising. Advertising is not allowed on VB. If I am correct that you are advertising, then please do not do so again. I learned about it from the Official Microsoft Dreamscene site.

Znod, let's let this one go, since it's very much related to Vista and it's just way cool!

I'm not sure if it's free or not (seems to be, but I'm not 100% sure, as it might just be free for subscribers of something else), but in either case, it's a product I think we should all be aware of. Now, if the product being advertised was for weight loss or whatever, then that's a different story.

Anyway, Island Dog, that's a way cool product.

Yeah its definantly free Daz, you don't even need to subscribe and the dream-scenes are free apart from the premium ones witch are optional.

After installing DeskScapes and selecting one of the DeskScape wallpapapers, the background runs for about 15 seconds and then DreamScene fails with the following:

Windows DreamScene has encountered an error.
Windows DreamScene has encountered an unrecoverable error while decoding the video.

The desktop then falls back to solid colors for desktop background.

I also tried DreamScene with the same results. I did not find any information on their web site regarding this problem.

I might be able to help. Do you by chance have Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 installed? If so, that is your problem. I have encountered the same problem and Sonic/ Roxio knows about it. I don't know if there is a fix coming or not. If you uninstall it DreamScene will again work.

If you don't have Roxio EMC9 installed then I don't know.
