RK Launcher installer for Vista

Guys,

I have been a RK Launcher user for a very long time... RK Launcher is a free application that will allow the user to have a visually pleasing bar at the side of the screen that is used to quickly launch shortcuts. With support for themes, PNG's and ICO's and with smooth amazing animations, RK Launcher is a versatile and great taskbar replacement.

Unfortunately, RK launcher is distributed as a ZIP file and this is something uncomfortable for many users. Well, not any more. I have built a new RK Laucher installer using InstallShield. It is compatible with Windows Vista and works just fine. I also included Mac and Vista icons in the package with options to install them or not. I don't believe RK Launcher Team or the program's owner will use it as the default Installer package due to its size (10MB). I didn't add no credits to my work, and I made just small changes in the application to make it run even better.

Forgive me but apart from icons, and compat, how is this relating to Vista?

Hi Josh:

Your reply to Yoni does not seem to be very polite. He obviously views RK Launcher as a way of customizing vista. His post also logically could have be placed in the Vista Addons and Applications section.

The graphics are beautiful. Love the rolling action. Not sure I have a real need for it, but it sure is pretty.

Guys,

I'm creating a new installer with a new RK Launcher release. Many bugs fixed with this new version and also a real Mac Genie minimize effect. I will update this info soon...

Yoni, question: You know folks like us don't like to install something and just leave it alone. What features can we mess around with and how can we personalize it to our tastes?

Thanks Yoni. It looks pretty. I sincerely say its a good contribution.I don't care to be so abrupt as Josh, but when I customise (XP Linux, Vista) I have a tendency to eliminate as many Icons and eye candy as possible.Every little bit of memory you can save may be useful as with loading of unneccesary programs in the interest of speeding up the more important ops. I have a thing called START on my desktop which adequately copes with "launching" programs
