Windows Explorer

I really dislike the new explorer in Vista. Is there anyway to change it so it looks like XP?

Thanks

You didn't mention what you don't like about Vista Explorer. If you miss the check boxes just go to Tools > Folders options > View tab > Scroll down and check the box next to 'Use check boxes to select items' > Press Apply and OK to exit.

Same goes for menu bars just look under folder options to get them back, also you can also turn off things like the side and bottom panes. Obviously it wont look exactly like XP but you can get it close enough.

I do not like the address bar at all. I would like to change that back to the way XP had it. Is there any way to do that?

I did see "Display full path in address bar (classic folders only)" but i didnt see any change after selecting this.

Simply put... you can't get IE7 to look like IE6 because IE7 is not IE6 You could always install IE6 but you will lose out n all the benefit of IE7.

Here is a link if you want IE6:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

But I would suggest you just get used to IE7

PS: I still don't really get what you dont' like about it?

UK.intel has produced a 'classic' theme which makes Vista look retro! It's here: http://www.vistababble.com/forums/cu...humbnails.html
