Converting from Windows XP to Vista64

My current commputer has Windows XP. A friend has offered to let me buy his system, which is currently running Vista64. What I want to know is, will I be able to transfer my stuff from my Windows XP computer over to Vista? For example, will it take my outlook file, favorites, and MyDocs folder? And can I use my WinXP Photoshop install disk with the new system?

Thanks for any help!
