| Fresh Install of vista problems i have the sony vaio vgn-fs285h, it came with windows xp but its hard drive recently crashed, i was able to boot from the drive one more time to copy importand stuff to my mac, i also got the drivers folder but now i dont know where to copy them to so i can use the memory stick reader and other hardware, although i am still trying to clone my original hard drive to the new one im running off now which would be much better so i could just get straight back to my programs (the hard drive boots up every now and again but is not reliable, any ideas wat to do?) |

| If the BIOS doesn't see it, then it's not there. Be sure the RAM is installed correctly. If it is, then it's likely not in the right spot (not installed correctly) or is damaged. If BIOS doesn't see the RAM, then there's no way in the nine circles of computing that Vista is going to see it. Vista will see all the RAM that is installed in a computer, it will only use up to 3 GB if it's the 32-bit version of Vista.
