| Huge install issue Ok. So I'm installing Vista on my PC. I load the CD and all that shows is a blue splash screen with a mouse pointer that I can move around. It's a straight blue screen, but an obvious blue green background. Has anybody had this issue before? ![]() |

| The blue screen is a very common issue with Vista. The cause could be many, but mostly are due to drivers. One thing you can do is leave the PC alone for a while and see if Vista will continue; it may take a while so just sit back and wait. Connecting the PC to the internet, wired not wireless, prior to installation may help. Vista will automatically check your PC and go online and download any drivers automatically. | Glad you got it working. Depending on your PC, Vista can take a long while to install. Many users quit before the installation is completed believing there are issues with the process, but the best thing to do is to wait and let the process finish. Of course, Einstein's theory of relativity plays a part: Sitting by the PC waiting for the process to complete may make a few minutes to feel like hours. So it's best to insert the DVD, answer the few questions and when process begins go run some errands.
