Premium to Ultimate

I could not take the less powerful Vista Premium anymore so last night I upgraded or clean installed Ultimate without a key so I have 90 days to afford a key , and it is a shame I can't even legally sell the Premium key under the COA agreement. What a difference the TV Tuner card works better and is clearer or it just me well more info to follow

My tuner card works super on my HP/Premium laptop--even with Hi Def right out the cable box descrambler. I don't think there is a difference in the media stuff between Ultimate and Premium. Generally, I know the differences between the two that might be important to me, although I read about a new one recently. I can't remember what it was now. LOL. And, recall that I had great definition/resolution problems with my possibly lesser tuner under 64-bit Vista Ultimate and my Gateway desktop.

There is no local users and groups and on all my version I run the disabled Admin account and no other I do not care that it is not secure as with UAC but problems I had with the Premium do not see with the Ultimate. You cannot do that with Premium my tuner is working great now to. Had the error Digital Cable Service application is no responding and it shut down the tuner card in Qam plus media center plus Media player all would crash when opened but the analog channels on the tuner card would work fin sort of.

Vista install problem with RAM

Please be advised that installation of Vista is a potential problem if too much RAM is installed.

On ASUS P5E3 Deluxe with Q6600 SLCR processor having 4G of DDR3, the Vista Ultimate would not install. Hangs during "Expanding Files" process. Removed one 2G stick per recommendation of Airman and system installed.

Fair warning and hopefully a help to those others so you do not spend a day swapping equipment like me before really knowing the problem.
