Vista 26 updates are equal to v.16509

Today, I pulled the Acer Laptop (this is the Laptop that was not Vista Compatible) with Home Premium, (stock-standard)-normal windows upgrade active... wow what a pain in the butt, Windows Defender shut almost all down...(it was outdated- had to turn off all updates) and then manually update Win Bit Defender then let it check/scan to see all was OK,
then AVAST had to update... AOK , all scan final and Vista is checked A OK.
since I had not reset Win Updates to Automatic, I restarted Manual check for updates. Said 26 Updates.

Just restarted and viola
1. WinVer reads: 6000
2. slmgr.vbs -dlv : 6000.16509
I also see all the pre stated KB which add stability and preformance.
AC97 Sound update is currently DL for install.

PS: I do keep 1 unit 1000% Legit... only what is offered on Windows Updates, it also has NO special pcks, so it works 1000% than any normal person would have...

Notice: XML Core Service 4.0 SP2 (KB941833) is available for DL. OK - doing

Asus CUV266 P-3 1 gig instal

I myself also got brave and installed my version of vista Premium on the old XP box with the Intel P-3 Coppermine 1 gig with ATI 9200 LE video and 1.5 gig of PC 2100 ram and aopen sound and a 20 gig HD, took a very long time to install and the first time around I got an error at 65% installing files, so I said try it again this time when it came to the pick were you want the install I clicked advance and format this time it went all the way through to final boot in about 1hour and 45 min. compared to the 45 min for a C2D I have installed on in the past. No aero just Vista Basic, but it still looks very nice and when I ran the compatability wizard it said no drivers for the video card but there they were installed, and it running a 46 inch big screen Sony TV just fine from the DVI to HDMI. This install I am trying Nod32, Ad-aware 2007 and Windows Firewall for security so far everything is just great. So it can be run on old systems with the right prep and forethought with a little upgrades it would run even better, and my rating is a 1 on the scale. The uac I am getting used to and not having all the other features missing that are in the Business and Ultimate version are not that big a deal but I can see were it wouold bother a lot of people.

The fact of the matter is that I think it runs Vista better than it ran XP seems crisper might have to get a bigger HD and a faster one this old 20 is only a DMA 4 not a DMA 5 like the one I have for storage on this system have a good day.
