Vista upgrade from XP

How can I upgrade from unlicensed Windows XP Media Centre 2005 to Vista Home Premium? or do I have to buy a full operating system? What are all my options?

You have to buy a FULL License since your other copy is PIRATED.
So you will have a Legit License (KEY) to activate with.

Your option, as stated by Snuffy, is to buy the full version. Buying it from the Internet will be your best option, e.g. www.newegg.com, www.tigerdirect.com and other sites.

If you find that the price is a little stip, one of the reasons is because users don't believe in getting or buying legal copies. The lost of revenue because of pirated copies is passed on to consumers. Stay legal and get a license.

I believe the reason prices are high is because people need help. Hence the difference in price between OEM and retail.

OEM is cheap as chips!

If you would buy an UPGRADE version, it would be cheaper than RETAIL.
OEM is supported by the OEM Manufacture, or whom you purchase it from, Upgrade is supported by MS..and
1. install as upgrade "KEY" works if you upgrade from a PIRATED copy.
2. You can clean install from Upgrade by (a.) do not use your KEY to install 1st time. (b.) use your KEY to upgrade the clean install to fully activated install by upgrading your clean install.
