Question

Anyone know on what OS it will be easier to make a router, to share my internet connection between computers of my home network ?

Linux may be the easiest, if only because you can probably find somebody else in your area using Linux to do the same thing. The trick with Linux is figuring out which NAT scheme they're using with the particular version of Linux you've installed.

FreeBSD and OpenBSD aren't going to be that much more difficult, though. This link will take you to a tutorial on how to set up something like this to share a PPP link with a firewall, to boot:

I use a Linux firewall of the LRP (Linux router project).

It fits on 1 1.44Mb floppy, a 486 or > with 16MB or > will do the job.
