| Mandrake's rpmdrake errors, any ideas? Whenever I load rpmdrake to try to update my mandrake 10.1 community edition, it starts but then I get an error saying it can't retrieve the list of packages from the media 'update_source' What is this all about, and how do I fix it? I googled for an hour or so and could not really find anything with a fix for it, but if I can't fix that then how else can I get pertinent updates for Mandrake 10.1 like security fixes ets, as well as rpm updates for my installed stuff?

| It says that it can't ftp. In SUSE you go to YAST and set the 'source' to point either to a CD, an HD, or a FTP site. Mandrake must have something similar. So your 'source' could be pointing to the install CD drive instead of pointing to an ftp site. http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/walte...rpm-howto.html just in case you're using uprmi. |
