Mandrake's rpmdrake errors, any ideas?

Whenever I load rpmdrake to try to update my mandrake 10.1 community edition, it starts but then I get an error saying it can't retrieve the list of packages from the media 'update_source' What is this all about, and how do I fix it? I googled for an hour or so and could not really find anything with a fix for it, but if I can't fix that then how else can I get pertinent updates for Mandrake 10.1 like security fixes ets, as well as rpm updates for my installed stuff?

It says that it can't ftp. In SUSE you go to YAST and set the 'source' to point either to a CD, an HD, or a FTP site. Mandrake must have something similar. So your 'source' could be pointing to the install CD drive instead of pointing to an ftp site.
