on the modern BIOS you can choose to boot from say primary slave, so no need to crack open the case when you want to boot to linux Another way is to set a bootloader that will load both windows and linux. Find out about grub for this cheers

I install lilo (or grub) on my linux harddrive and put windows as my secondary drive. Thus my windows mbr is not messed up by lilo.

You could always just go to caddies: http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/op/formTrays-c.html www.vipower.com I like the "KP" series, like the VP-10KPFU-133, because it can use a key -- BUT, I don't like the type where there are wires behind the key because then you always have to use the key to enable it. I once had the 'tab lock' type and I worked on a problem for two days until I figured out that I had to slide the tab to enable the switch behind it which would allow the HD to power up. I bought mine at comouter shows for $8 - $10 each. But you'll need to use them in a tower case because the enclosures are longer than usual. (about the size of a CDRom drive). You would need 1 mobile HD rack & 2 trays. http://www.centralcomputer.com/itemd...m=DRIZZZRCIH4R http://www.newegg.com/app/SearchProd...ult.asp?DEPA=0 Your other option would be to put one in a USB enclosure then boot from the BIOS (set boot to ISB device). I've always used caddies (mobile racks).

If you installed Linux with the 120GB drive connected it should show you an entry in fstab - if it was a Windows system it would show it up as /Windows. You will have to create an fstab entry to mount it. http://ceu.fi.udc.es/docs/debian-use....0/node79.html bascially you create a directory inside /mnt. then you mount your disk drive to this mount point, ie, if you create a directory inside the mnt directory called /data. then you can 'mount /dev/hda5 /mnt/data' (provided that hda5 is seen as the 120GB HD). http://www.hgriggs.com/fstab.html
