| Remote Desktop I have linux desktop at work that I'd like to be able to work on from home. I can connect to a windows servers (running win2003 server) at work with remote desktop through our vpn. I'm the admin on this server so I can install whatever I need. Currently I can connect to this server with remote desktop from my home xp box and from there I can ssh into my linux desktop in work. I'd like to be able to view my gnome desktop from the windows server if possible. I know I can use vnc to access my linux box but I'd rather have my gnome interface. These 2 machines are on the same local network with 100mbps connection between them. Is this possible or is it even a good idea? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. ![]()

| Oh and if vnc is the best option, which client should I use? I've used http://www.realvnc.com before to access a unix box at school from my win2k box at home.

| I use UltraVNC. I like it better than TightVNC, but I haven't tried Real. Ultra seems to be smoother and faster to me. |

| The one I used before was realvnc. And I wasn't impressed. I think I might just try UltraVNC.
