Yes, he had already posted it, but in the Linux forum. Maybe threads should be merged.

swannema, when upgrading from 9.1 Pro to 9.2 is there a straight upgrade path? Just run the installer and it upgrades all the features? Or a way to port existing settings, etc.?

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

When you boot from the installer's CD or DVD, it will request if you want to upgrade or do a full install.

I normally prefer a full installation simply because I'm always concerned about broken links with the libraries.

Understood, I may do that anyway. Now that I understand a bit more about Linux, and SuSE, I can improve upon what I did on my first install.

I will wait what the entire 9.2 pack contains and decide then what way I will upgrade, it does not seem such a big step up from 9.1. But I know myself and I am sure I will end up with 9.2 rather sooner than later unless it's a mess like 9.0 was.
Usually I try to upgrade first, after I imaged the SuSE partition and usually I end up installing everything new. It doesn't take that long and I kept a nice log of issues and their solutions of my older SuSE installations- highly recommended unless you have a photographic memory.
