Activation Of Vista

hii Guys!!

I am using Windows XP 2nd edition. But now I am thinking to switch over Windows Vista.

My friend told me that Vista is good to use and ya it is highly secure but he tell me that Vista needs Activation from Microsoft after every 3 months.

but i don't have any idea about this. Please tell me that is it right or not?

Vista requires activation after 3 days or it becomes limited. I would suggest trying Windows 7 out as it's currently a free Beta and will give you a taste of the new operating systems.

If you have and entered the product key without activation, you’ll have 3-days, as Crabby described, to activate. If you install Vista without entering a product key, you have 30-days to enter a product key and activate. Though there’s a Command Prompt to reactivate Vista three more times for a total of 120 days without entering the product key, there are many that question its legality. Once you enter the product key and activate Vista, you don’t need to go through the activation process again.
