Speech Recognition

Wow how cool is the Speech Recognition in Windows vista they have done a fantastic job! it actually works well in Vista it picks up all major accents instead of just American, it understands and learns your voice in like a few Min's of using it and you can use it well to roam around your computer, for example start would open the start menu......Very good and a massive improvement since xp and i would recommend anyone who's trying vista betas 2 give it a go.....fun, usefully, and easy! good stuff Microsoft

Good to hear that. I am from puerto rio and have an accent and I had problems using the voice recognition. I'll give it a try.

I was able to pick my country to help understand speech better, and the way you learn speech is allot better i was able to use a tutorial that helps you learn all the commands and stuff for speech as you learn the commands you say them out loud and the engines learns as your doing so, better than talking a load of useless stuff like in the xp version of speech recognition this way you learn the commands and help speech understand you better. It also gives you hints on how to make speech understand you better. Small feature but very cool if you want to show of to your mates...well the ones who are not very good with computers anyway

I've got it and it is much better than the one in XP!
I use it nearly everyday...becuase I'm too lazy to reach over and use the mousepad..
