Post all your Aero, and Vista pics hereeeeeeeeeee!

Quote:
I'm feeling that the Aero thread is starting to get a bit dull, and lame, so i am making this thread to give it a little bit of colour and shine.

What do you like most about AERO? Post a pic for fun!

PS: If you say you like lets say flip 3d the most, and u have no pic, that means "No Pic no proof =/"

Thanks for your time,
Joseph

I think it should be a stiky, if it gets overrated and popular:agreed:

That is the old post -.-

Ok hi guys,

Post your Experiences with Aero and windows Vista in lots and lots of pics, no pic no proof.

Make sure you include a pic to all posts, it could be small big, or tineee winneee.

have a great time enjoying pics and rate them out of 10 like 7/10 or something.

Have fun

I like transparency. I hardly use the other features, or is it feature? Well, OK, besides transparency, I can think of flip 3D and thumbnails. Are there others? OK, I guess the performance-slowing, changing-desktop thing is part of Aero.

It's active on my desktop PC, but I can easily do without it. It provides me some confort to know that my PC is capable of handling Aero and Vista, but I just don't have a need for Aero.

I just like the look and feel (I do not use Sidebar however). Going from Vista to XP feels like going from XP to Win95, lol.

I like Aero, but it has already gotten old so I'm glad to be able to change it.

The AERO in Vista was pretty cool until I tried Linux with the Beryl desktop manager. The entire title bar and borders are transparent, and with a single stroke I can make an entire window transparent to see what's behind it. Not to mention special fades like burning or exploding closed windows, zigzag minimize etc. Now when I'm in Vista I don't disapoint myself by turning AERO on.

On the bright side maybe someday Beryl will be available for all versions of Windows.

I have been trying to figure out what to do with my spare Raptor. Maybe you have "answered" my question. But, I'll need help on getting the boot loader/menu right--with Raptor Raid 0/32-bit; Raptor/64-bit; and Linux/Beryl (maybe). Any thoughts?

Well I tried at least a half dozen distributions of Linux and the easiest to install was Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn beta). However with any of the distros I had to use two install switches or they wouldn't even boot, let alone install: noapic nosmp.

However install switches are machine dependent, and if you have a newer system you may not need any.
