I don't know if what I downloaded previously is this new driver but after checking out Znod's link, I think that we might all want to wait and see if there is an update beyond this new driver.

My original driver worked just fine until I updated with the Windows Update..

Thanx Znod for this good info...

You are very welcome. I hope it is good info. Regardless, it is enough to make me proceed with caution. As is, my NVIDA beta is working fine. Is your card and NVIDIA? I can't tell you my version now, because it is on my Destop, and we are out of town. But, if you want a copy, then I might be able to get it to you somehow. I keep copies of everything I download and install. I won't be home until the 10th. Let me know. My card is shown in my sig--the link.

I just wanted to add this link to the discussion (which may have
already been posted or may have been used by some here):

https://surveys.nvidia.com/index.jsp...f09e040b4a437a

It is a questionaire, the goal of which is to ferret out problems
and bugs with nVidia's Vista drivers.

NEW NVidia 7600GS

Maybe the 7300GS Video card is Vista READY, but beleive me I just inserted my NEW NVidia 7600GS, defaulted and ran drivers upgrade to v.9746 (WDDM)
WEI 7300 GS---------WEI 7600GS
4.9------------------- 4.9
5.9------------------- 5.9
3.0 Graphics ------- 4.9
3.0 Games --------- 4.9
5.3 ------------------ 5.3

Difference in Cost, $35.00 I have had nothing but problems with the 7300GS,
and the NEW 7600 GS booted so fast and NO NOISE.. DISPLAY DEFAULTED from 800 X 600 (7300 GS) TO 1280 X 1024 (7600 GS)..........and YES you can see the difference
in the smoothness of any page...
