| For those who have HP Printers If you have been missing your HP software, it appears that HP is starting to release it's Vista-compatible versions. http://h20219.www2.hp.com/services/c...0-225-121.html I have a PSC1510 and it showed a software download for it but it is a whopping 163MB.

| It is big when you have a "cap" every month like I do on satellite. It is called FAP--Fair Access Policy which on my plan is 12GB a month. So to save on "FAP" I download big files here at work, transfer it to a 2GB USB key I carry around and then take it home. Anyway for printer software, that is a big download unless it covers more than one series of printers. The file was labeled AIO_CDB_Full_Non-Network_enu.exe. If I just saw this file I wouldn't have known it was HP PSC1510 software, lol. Those who are on dial-up can get a CD I read somewhere on the site. Znod, just put that into your favorites and check back every now and then. When I last checked sometime in Feb. there was no software for the PSC1510. This software I downloaded is dated 3-16.

| I am one of the lucky ones glad I got the deal on our new PS8150 printer no drivers needed built into Vista and work fine but I feel for anyone who has printing problems they are working on the drivers and will be out sooner or later, hopefully sooner. I wasn't sure I was going to like this 6 ink printer but is it great the only problem is it is paper picky getting a lot of out of paper errors but there is always lots of paper in tray but thenm you get it in just right and no error all the way to end of stack and its just with regular everyday printing paper no photos.

| I do have basic print and scan functions with the 1510 under Vista but I miss not being able to use the control panel on the printer plus the control center where it tells you how much ink you have left and other little things. EDIT:with this post now I am officially a Member :flowercool:

| I had forgotten that you was a 64 bit-er. I never had one myself but my SysAdmin had bought a dual processor Dell and installed XP Pro 64 on it. It stayed on the computer for about 2 weeks and he took it off and put 32 Pro on it. He said he was having too much trouble with drivers and certain hardware like his TV card. The release of the HP software has knocked one thing from my want list. I still have these left: 1. Vista version of Nokia's PC Suite. The current one installs on Vista but some features do not work or works weird. One annoyance is that I cannot transfer pics from the phone to the computer via Bluetooth but can via USB cable. Plus when I use it to text message someone every time I reply the UAC window pops up and I have to type in the password. 2. Fully functional Creative X-Fi drivers. Plus I like using MediaSource to play mp3's because it sounds better to me than WMP and WinAmp. For some reason when I try to install it it says that it cannot find a compatible device on my computer and then aborts--I have a X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro. 3. Fully functional Nvidia drivers Once these are met, I will be back to the usability I had with XP

| I will look around for it then. I downloaded the drivers that came out a couple of weeks ago and tried to install MediaSource again but got the same "non-compatible" message.

| The HP software installed successfully. Looks like I need to get some more black ink soon, lol. They could have changed the XP look on it's toolbar though. ![]() ![]()
