Windows Vista Premium Ready PCs

Has anyone seen any PCs labeled as Windows Vista Premium Ready? I know HP has some Windows Vista Capable PCs ready to go, but I haven't yet seen any that are designated as Premium Ready.

Nope, never seen a sticker like that. I saw an HP computer that said "Designed for Windows XP. Windows Vista capable." Thte thing has 2 gigs of RAM, a fairly good graphics card, and an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ X2. If that's "Vista capable", then I dunno what's Vista Premium Ready.

Wink Windows Vista Premium Ready

Windows Vista Premium Ready:
To get an even better Windows Vista experience including the Windows Aero user experience, look for PCs that are designated as Premium Ready, or choose a PC that meets or exceeds the Premium Ready requirements. Features available in specific premium editions of Windows Vista, such as the ability to watch and record live TV, may also require additional hardware.

Windows Vista System requirements tools and detailed information is also available on Microsoft’s web site at www.windowsvista.com/getready

some Vista Premium Ready systems

I'll check the sticker I removed from my desktop when I get home in about 10 days. The desktop, of course, is VP ready, but I don't remember what the sticker says.

It appears that the only requirements is to have the Windows "Vista Capable PC" logo. In other words a Vista Capable PC is any PC that meets or exceeds the minimum Vista requirements, that includes a Vista Premium ready PC. Excellent question; it'll be good to know.

Soon after I posted above, I found this at the Toshiba website (see snips): "To get even better Windows Vista experience including the Windows Aero user experience, look for PCs that are designated as Premium Ready, or choose a PC that meets or exceeds the Premium Ready Requirements." By the way, I found the same logos at Dell, so apparently the Windows Premium Ready logo that appears below is the official logo.

Your interpretation definitely is correct.

Logo's Make your own...

Many sites have the (both) logos on them.. For "XP" we used a foil strip pack to print our own logos, and stuck on your computers, (both laptops and Desktops). That was when we were BETA TESTING, and XP basically was Whistler..Even Neptune was Great, with his Logo..
No, I do not have the Logo's anymore...but Ink Jet [printers were the rage back then]. My friends are still impressed with the
pic that says "Evaluation.copy" Vista.

You probably won't believe this, but I'm going to tell a little story. On father's day my daughter's bought me an eMachines T6532 Desktop PC. When I got it, I took it out of the box and set it on the floor next to my desk. I've never really paid much attention to the label or stickers attached to the front,

Anyway, two days ago I decided to move the CPU from the floor to the top of my desk. But again, I didn't pay any attention to the label or sticker, although I get a better view than when the PC was sitting on the floor. As read some of the previous posts about the "Windows Vista Capable sticker" and about how to get the stickers, I glanced at my PC and to my surprise it has a "Windows Vista Capable" sticker (see picture I just took).

Knowing I received the PC as a father's day gift, it must have been build early in 2006, makes me wonder why we didn't hear much about a Windows Capable PC early this year. I knew about the Vista's requirements, but not about checking for the sticker.

I already hugged them big time. I told my youngest daughter about the Windows Vista Capable sticker, but for her it didn't mean anything.

On a PC manufacturer's website (Fujitsu-Siemens) a mini PC (same concept as Mac mini) was labeled as "Vista capable" but in a table about the manufacturer's product's compatibility, Vista premium was marked.
???
Could it be, because the PC "out of the box" has 512 GB RAM and Vista premium needs much more?

Mac Book and Mac Mini runs Vista perfectly

So, in a German Mac forum I heard something about Vista.
A member installed Vista Premium on his Mac Book and could enjoy the effects and says "Mac mini has similar components, so you will have the same success, if you have 1 GB RAM minimum"
Good news, when one wants a mini PC and the usual Mini PCs are too expensive.
