When a VB6 application created on an XP computer is executed on a Vista computer, there is a security warning that the publisher could not be verified.

How can a digit signature be obtained for all applications from that computer ?

Try this: Click Start button > Type Local Security Policy in search box > Click Local Policies > Security options > Microsoft network client: Digital sign communication (always) > Enable

Thanks for your response. Can you please be a bit more specific on the steps. For starters, I typed 'Local Security Policy', but didn't get the results you describe.

You click the Start button then type "Type Local Security" in the search box just above the Start button, and then click enter. A window will popup with a bunch of folders. Click the folder named Local policies. (See snips)

Hi. Thanks for your reply. It looks good, but on my computer, I don't get those results. Do I have to have a higher level version of Vista ? I have the Home version.

I'm not sure about the Vista Home Basic, but it should work on Home Premium. You can try typing "sec", instead of Local Security. Let me know if it works.
