ftp:// errors using IE

I think my Vista security settings are preventing me from accessing a ftp web address. I keep getting the message that the website can not be found. Does anyone know how to fix this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not sure if this will do it, but it's worth a try: Open IE > Click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Tick or Untick (depending if it's ticked or not) Use passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility). See snip.

I have tried this, I think. I got this message:
"Windows cannot access this folder.
Details:
A comnnection with the server could not be established.

I tstill hink it has something to do with Vista ThinkVantage Security but I can't figure out what.

Thanks
